Join Professor Jill Kleins Sydney masterclass on resilience in leadership
Resilience expert Jill Klein will host a special event in Sydney next month on how business leaders can remain strong in the face of great change and uncertainty.
"Resilience is more than simply 'bouncing back'," says Jill, winner of our annual Leadership Award for Faculty and presenter of the Resilient Leadership short course. "It's the capacity to maintain growth through hardships and emerge from challenges stronger than before."
Jill was an expert in marketing and leadership who had taught at some of the world's best business schools when she began developing new teaching materials on resilience after the global financial crisis together with her father Gene, a Holocaust survivor.
Today Jill teaches resilience to Melbourne Business School students as well as medical students and doctors.
The Sydney event will be hosted on September 4 at International Towers in Barangaroo, focusing on the growth mindset underpinning resilience and the latest psychological research and tools for facing adversity and responding constructively to difficult situations.
"Organisations face frequent setbacks and fresh challenges because of economic uncertainty and the global scale of technological change," says Jill. "Leaders must adapt rapidly to manage issues constructively and know how to handle adverse events.
