Whistleblower Policy Disclosure Submission

Speak Up - Your VOice Matters

At Melbourne Business School, we are committed to fostering a safe, respectful, and values-driven workplace where every person feels heard, protected, and empowered to speak up. To support this, we’ve partnered with Your Call - a trusted, independent, and confidential external grievance and whistleblowing service, available 24/7.

A ‘Speak Up: MBS Reporting Portal’ has been set up, which provides access to the externally hosted and managed service by Your Call, where staff, contractors, former staff and short course participants can make an online report/disclosure regarding a grievance or related inappropriate conduct. In relation to Whistleblowing, according to the legislation a Whistleblower can be:

  • employee of the company or organisation your disclosure is about, or a related company or organisation
  • officer (usually that means a director or company secretary) of the company or organisation your disclosure is about, or a related company or organisation
  • person (or employee of a person or entity) who has supplied goods or services to the company or organisation your disclosure is about, or a related company or organisation – this can be either paid or unpaid, and can include volunteers
  • associate of the company or organisation, usually a person with whom the company or organisation acts in concert
  • trustee, custodian or investment manager of a superannuation entity, or an officer, employee or goods or service provider to a trustee, custodian or investment manager, or
  • spouse, relative or dependant of one of the people referred to above, or a dependant of such an individual’s spouse.

If something doesn’t seem right, we want to know about it. Your voice plays a vital role in upholding our values and ensuring a safe, ethical, and respectful workplace.

To make reporting easier, we have two distinct reporting forms:

Grievance Form - Alleged Misconduct
For concerns that relate to the conduct of a staff member or contractor, covered by our staff policies, such as Appropriate Workplace Behaviour Policy and Sexual Misconduct Policy.

Whistleblower Report Form
For matters covered under the Whistleblower Policy, such as unethical behaviour or illegal activity.
