Melbourne Business School is the among the top 20 international business schools according to a new MBA ranking list released by Poets & Quants.
The School’s one year, intensive full-time MBA program is now the highest ranked course in Australia jumping 18 places from 38 to 20th position.
The top 20 result follows Melbourne Business School’s most recent accolade from Bloomberg Businessweek‘s international ranking announced earlier this month, which saw the School jump to 9th position – up 14 places on last year’s result of 23.

Professor Zeger Degraeve, Dean of Melbourne Business School said the Poets & Quants is a credible source which applies a weighting to each of the constituent rankings to determine an overall picture of the best non-US international business schools.
“This new Poets & Quants list is a composite of four major MBA rankings which are published each year by The Financial Times, The Economist, Bloomberg Businessweek and Forbes, taking into account a massive wealth of quantitative and qualitative data captured in these major lists,” said Professor Degraeve.
The ranking also captures data from surveys of corporate recruiters, MBA graduates, deans and faculty publication records, median GPA and GMAT scores of entering students and the latest salary and employment statistics of alumni.
“Each of the four major MBA rankings apply different criteria to determine what position a School is place and what Poets & Quants have done is consolidated all relevant information to give an overall picture of where Melbourne Business School ranks in relation to our international competitors,” explained Professor Degraeve.
“Achieving top 20 status in these rankings is yet another confirmation of our School’s progress in rankings and our commitment to delivering world class education and research.”
