Leadership
Build leadership capability by developing your intrapersonal (self-awareness, self-management) and interpersonal (social awareness, social influence) skills.
You will explore theoretical concepts and perspectives alongside practical individual and group exercises to prepare you for the challenges of leading in a complex environment.
Data Analysis
Gain the core skills to extract information from data in order to understand business processes and make better managerial decisions.
You will learn quantitative analysis, analytical thinking and ways to measure and improve performance, which will build a framework for solving complex business problems and the foundation for advanced MBA subjects.
Managing People
Acquire the analytical skills to identify, diagnose and solve people-related challenges in organisations.
You will use tools to examine different theoretical concepts and perspectives that underlie behaviour to improve organisational, group and individual outcomes in a practical manner.
Managerial Economics

You will harness your creativity and lateral thinking for a hands-on team project where you will plan, strategise and develop an entrepreneurial business idea to then pitch to a panel of industry judges.
Managerial Ethics and the Business Environment
Find out how the societal context affects organisations and their strategies, as well as why managerial ethical problems frequently arise in the business context.
You will learn to evaluate business decisions by considering various stakeholders – appraising an organisation's obligation to them – and the moral reasoning frameworks that can help you be more aware of ethical pitfalls in a reflective and deliberate fashion.
Financial Accounting
Learn to interpret and analyse financial statements in order to extract useful information for better decision-making and assessing the financial health of an organisation.
Accounting is the “language of business”, and what you learn in this subject is essential for successfully completing other MBA subjects such as Finance, Business Strategy and Mergers and Acquisitions.
Finance
Establish a solid foundation for valuing financial assets and selecting and managing investment projects.
You will discover how to manage a firm to increase the wealth of shareholders, subject to fulfilling contractual and legal obligations to relevant stakeholders.
Marketing
Learn to manage market demand using proven demand‐side strategies.
You will learn to recognise, create, grow and protect market‐based assets that influence demand and how marketing investments help develop and translate market‐based assets into outcomes that ensure an organisation’s long‐term survival and success.
Immersive Business Experience
Students gain practical experience by working in teams in leading partner organisations to solve real business problems. Each project integrates academic learning with the practical challenges of applying your studies in a real organisation.
Operations
Discover the tools and frameworks to understand the role that the operations function plays in a firm’s ability to compete effectively in the marketplace.
You will focus on the design, management and continuous improvement of the business processes that help firms exceed customer expectations along measures such as cost, quality, flexibility and innovation.
Business Strategy
Explore the challenges of various well-known businesses and discover the frameworks that will allow you to understand and explain what strategy is and how strategy is optimised.
You will learn to diagnose and solve strategic business problems, organise the roles of values, clearly articulate the purpose for a strategy and plan against disruption.
MBA Capstone (6.25 = 0.5 subject)
In this final subject, you will revisit and consolidate the learnings from throughout your MBA journey as you prepare for what lies ahead in your career.
As you reflect on your MBA experience, we’ll look ahead to your future career aspirations, commitments, and transitions. This will serve as an opportunity to engage in extensive personal reflection and will provide you with tools to help navigate your career as it unfolds over the coming years.

Investment
Program Fee
The program fee for our 2025 Full-time MBA is AUD $112,500. This covers all program costs for the two years and can be paid in instalments.
If you receive an offer of admission, a deposit is required to hold your place. This deposit is offset against your first fee instalment after you accept your offer.
FEE-HELP
FEE-HELP is available for eligible Australian citizens and some permanent residents.

International students:
- Please budget for Study visa fees and charges.
You must also obtain Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) for the duration of your stay in Australia. Melbourne Business School has selected Bupa as its preferred OSHC provider^.
The Costs are:
- AUD $1,625* (Singles cover)
- AUD $6,161* (Couples/Single Parent cover)
- AUD $10,417* (Family cover)
^MBS receives a benefit for Bupa OSHC policies purchased through the school.
*Premiums quoted as at 30 June 2024.
Alternatively, you can choose to purchase OSHC from an approved Australian health insurance provider. You will need to contact the provider directly to set up your policy with them.
Scholarships

Our scholarships encourage diversity, provide opportunity and reward talent.
When you apply for specific programs, you will automatically be considered for the scholarships available for that program. There are however certain scholarships where you need to make a separate application by a certain date.

- Review and submit your complete application by the application closing dates.
*Graduates of Australian/NZ universities who do not wish to apply for scholarships are not required to have a GMAT/GRE.
Interview
Shortlisted candidates for each round will be invited to attend a compulsory interview, which can be conducted in person or via ZOOM. The interview will last approximately 20 to 30 minutes.
Outcome
A selection committee will make the final decision on each applicant to achieve a cohort that reflects gender balance and a diverse representation of industries, academic backgrounds and nationalities. Restrictions are also placed on the number of students from any one region.
Successful applicants will be notified via email. The offer may include the award of a scholarship.
Unsuccessful applications will not be reassessed in following rounds. We appreciate that considerable time and effort are required to complete an application, however we will not comment on specific factors that may have led to the selection committee's final decision.

Round 1: 25 November 2024
Round 2: 3 February 2025
Round 3: 31March 2025
Round 4: 26 May 2025 (final off-shore international closing date)
Round 5: 14 July 2025 (final on-shore international and domestic closing date)
The deadline for all applications is 11.59pm AEST.

Outcomes are advised approximately 4-6 weeks after the application round closing date.
Application Requirements
Entry to this program is highly competitive and meeting the minimum entry criteria does not guarantee an offer to the program.
- A good GMAT/GMAT Focus or GRE score – as a guide, recent students have achieved an average GMAT of 695 or higher.*
- An up-to-date CV showing at least two (2) years of professional experience.
- Official academic transcript (including any postgraduate academic transcripts)**
- Evidence of citizenship and residency(e.g. Passport, Birth certificate, Visa)**
- An excellent command of English, with a copy of your IELTS or TOEFL score*** if you are a non-native speaker.
- Four personal statements relating to your goals and how you can contribute to the program.
- The names and contact details of two (confidential) professional referees.
It is a university requirement that applicants provide evidence that they meet the published entry requirements. Uncertified documentation does not provide this evidence; however, we accept uncertified documents for the purpose of selection and reserve the right to request your original certified documentation at any time.
You are also welcome to supply additional information that you believe will strengthen your application. The school may also request additional information to assist the admission decision.
The Australian Department of Home Affairs is responsible for issuing visas for entry to Australia. Please refer to the department's immigration and citizenship webpages for information about visas.
*Applicants who hold an undergraduate degree from an Australian/NZ university and do not wish to apply for scholarships, are not required to have a GMAT/GRE.
**Original or certified copies of these documents will be required if you are successful in gaining admission to the program.
***IELTS Academic test with a minimum score of 7.0 overall and with no individual band less than 6.5.
TOEFL iBT, with a minimum score of 102 (written score of 24+ and no individual score lower than 21)
PTE: Overall score minimum of 72+, with writing skills of minimum 65 and no other communicative skill below 64
