Carlton - An intimate setting on the city fringe

The Carlton property offers historic surrounds and a tranquil setting next door to the University of Melbourne. MBS's dedicated and focussed learning environment is conducive to business conferences, training, semninars and senior management retreats.

Our facilities are available for hire by business organisations on a residential or non-residential basis. The venue features impressive theatres and meeting rooms, complemented by first class dining and comfortable accommodation facilities.

A range of catering is available to meet your conference or function requirements. Our dining experiences are as diverse as open-air barbecues, intimate cocktail parties, morning and afternoon teas and full a la carte meals in our private dining facilities.

Food and beverage

Our Executive Chef can tailor a menu to suit your individual requirements. From a gourmet bbq, to a formal dinner in a private dining room, a cocktail function, working lunch or buffet and morning and afternoon teas.

Continuous refreshments
Freshly brewed coffee, selection of teas, water and fresh juices.

Morning and afternoon tea
Freshly brewed coffee, selection of teas, water, fresh juices, an assortment of biscuits and seasonal fruit and Chef’s bakery selection.

Buffet Breakfast
From our buffet: full hot and cold breakfast including cereals, fresh and dried fruits, yoghurt, pastries and variety of breads and muffins, chefs selection of eggs, bagon, sausages, tomaotes, fresh fruit juices and freshly brewed tea and coffee.

Working Lunch
Assorted gourmet sandwiches, rolls, bagels, sliced seasonal fruit and a selection of Australian cheese and biscuits.

From our buffet: a variety of hot dishes (including vegetarian), selection of fresh salads, breads, range of desserts, selection of Austrlian cheeses and biscuits, fresh fruit juices, freshly brewed tea and coffee.

Dinner
Chefs daily changing menu comprising entree, choice of main course (including vegetarian) and dessert. 

Cheese platters and coffee are served in the lounge after dinner.

Theatre and meeting rooms
The theatres and meeting rooms at Melbourne Business School are designed specifically to maximise effective learning and communication.
Meeting rooms have natural light and feature latest touch screen audio-visual equipment.  Audio conferencing is also available.

Our technical support staff are on hand to ensure everything operates smoothly. All rooms and theatres are soundproof and fully air conditioned, with comfortable chairs and ample desk space.

We have six “tiered” theatres, ranging in seating capacity from 40 to 150 and four meeting and teaching rooms with a seating capacity of 20-25.  Our small syndicate (break-out) rooms cater for 8-12 people.
