I will upload my musical efforts here from time to time. I just bought Cubase 5 and this is my first attempt at using it. This music composition software is very powerful (by Yamaha subsidiary Steinberg). However, they have turned a great product into a consumer’s nightmare through quite brutal protection of their IP – to the extent that paying users can easily be forced into using a pirate copy instead of their legal version.

• Mr Gone by Weather Report. I love this Jazz masterpiece from the 80’s. Jo Zawinul did it pretty much all himself with his ARP and a tape recorder. This is my version, with an original spooky bridge section in the middle, and some trumpet melody at the end.
