Hakan Tarakci
PhD (Purdue) BS (Bogazici) MS (Iowa State)
Hakan received his PhD in Quantitative Methods from the Krannert Schoolf of Management at Purdue University in 2004. Prior to joining MBS in 2005, he taught at Purdue as a visiting assistant professor for one year.
At Melbourne Business School, he teaches Managing Processes and Data & Decisions at MBS. His teaching interests are operations management, business statistics, linear programming and data analysis.
Hakan currently has two papers accepted for publication at IIE Transactions. One of these papers appeared in print in the January 2006 issue of this journal (Maintenance outsourcing of a multi-process manufacturing system with multiple contractors, IIE Transactions, 38, pp. 67-78).
His research interests include coordination and learning in maintenance outsourcing, inventory models, supply chain management and statistics.
