APSILC becomes a foundation sponsor of Kinaway

MBS Asia Pacific Social Impact Leadership Centre becomes a foundation sponsor of Kinaway - Victoria’s Aboriginal Chamber of Commerce.
MBS was one of four foundation sponsors launching Australia’s first state-wide Aboriginal Chamber of Commerce last week.
Formed to support Aboriginal businesses and improve social outcomes for the Aboriginal community within Victoria, Kinaway is a new independent professional association for Aboriginal business and entrepreneurs.
MBS Dean, Jennifer George said “This is an important step forward for MBS in our relationship with Victorian Indigenous communities. We strongly support the Victorian Aboriginal community’s aim of economic empowerment.
“Our sponsorship of Kinaway is an important indicator of the work we have begun in the Indigenous space and now we are committed to working in partnership with the Indigenous business community to make notable contributions, especially through the Asia Pacific Social Impact Leadership Centre.”
In attendance on Tuesday 17th August, was Deputy Premier Rob Hulls, who officially launched Kinaway, Dean of MBS, Jennifer George, MBS Director of Advancement, Jan Cochrane-Harry, MBS Alumni Council member Michael Stillwell and Asia Pacific Social Impact Leadership Centre’s Michelle Evans.
Kinaway’s other three sponsors included VECCI, Orica and the Victorian Equal Opportunity and Human Rights Commission.
