The Dinner is one of Melbourne’s leading forums for celebrating the achievement of women in management, and for discussing issues of gender and diversity in the workplace.

Background - MBS Women and Management
The origins of Melbourne Business School’s Women and Management (WAM) brand are with some of our first female graduates. In 1983 the first annual lunch was held at the Lyceum club for women graduates to network and connect. From there the brand developed into the Women and Management Group with the launch of the first dinner in 1992.

The group put together a program of activities in which various students volunteered to take responsibility for the management of each event. This had the benefit of offering women students an additional opportunity to play a leadership role in the school.

Program/Association
The WAM program has developed into a student association that supports and promotes women at MBS and in business. The Association can be accessed a resource and support platform, for female students to enable them to acquaint themselves with the female Faculty, alumni, business partners and fellow students. The group promotes diversity in management.
