The Director Advancement will support the School’s mission by working with and supporting the Dean, Executive Committee, Board and key stakeholders in all Advancement opportunities that further enhance our quality management and leadership education for the students and organisations we serve.

 

This position requires a person with sound management and implementation skills, who is driven by developing networks and client relationships by engaging current and prospective constituents and donor members of the School.

 

Reporting directly to the Dean, key responsibilities include:
·         Provide leadership, strategic vision and manage day-to-day operations for the Advancement office
·         Establish timelines and milestones for meeting strategic goals with a particular emphasis on the planning and execution of major gift fundraising.
·         Lead and mange the Advancement team in fundraising initiatives
·         Develop, implement and communicate an innovative fundraising strategy in collaboration with the Dean, Alumni Council, Directors, Faculty and Advancement staff.
·         Take a leading role in cultivating and soliciting a significant portfolio of major gifts prospects in supporting capital priorities
·         Determine and drive all fundraising targets
·         Maintain and develop strong cross-school relationships with those who can support the School’s Advancement objectives, including staff involved in teaching and research, marketing, communications, corporate relations and student services.

 

The successful candidate will have:
·         Demonstrable experience working in major gift fundraising and campaign development within industry, education, sales, marketing or a fundraising environment.
  • Demonstrable experience in leading  a high performing team
  • Outstanding interpersonal, engagement and communication skills and the ability to effectively manage a range of stakeholders
  • Strong strategic planning, marketing and financial management skills
  • High focus to quality processes and outcomes with attention to detail and excellent follow-through.
·         A Master's degree in a related field is desirable.
