Economics
Economists at MBS are engaged in research in industrial organisation, competition policy and game theory. They work closely with governments, banks, corporates and leading professional firms to research and examine the the strategic consequences of incentives for firms in regulated industries, and optimal commercialisation and financing strategies for start-up entrepreneurial firms. Other research areas include international macroeconomics, business cycle behaviours and political economy.
In 2005, the MBS economics faculty was ranked number 6 globally the individual category of the top ten Best in Economics by the Financial Times (UK).
