The University of Melbourne has a sports centre that provides first-class sport and recreation programs and facilities including a weight training gym, Aerobics, Yoga and Pilates classes, personal training and physiotherapy and massage services. Membership is heavily discounted for Melbourne University and Melbourne Business School students.

- Monday – Thursday 6.30am – 10.30pm
- Friday 6.30am – 9.00pm
- Saturday – Sunday 9.00am – 5.30pm

Most suburbs have their own swimming and/or sports facilities and may offer student discounted rates with student identification.
