Scholarships
A small number of partial scholarships are available for the EMBA, particularly for applicants from those groups under-represented in the program and who can demonstrate the value they would bring to the group. As a guide these scholarships generally range from A$10,000 to A$15,000.
There is no separate application required for scholarship consideration - those who wish to be considered for a scholarship simply need to enter this information when completing their on-line EMBA application. The EMBA Selection Committee will review all requests and scholarships will be granted based on merit.
Additional scholarship options that may be suitable for some EMBA applicants:
- The National Australia Bank Indigenous MBA Scholarship
- The BHP Billiton Indigenous MBA Scholarship
- The Law Institute of Victoria (LIV) Scholarship
Beyond this, the organisation of any other funds i.e. external scholarships, loans, etc is the responsibility of the student. The University of Melbourne’s website provides information on some options for student loans and grants at http://www.services.unimelb.edu.au/finaid/loans/index.html
In addition to scholarship, EMBA candidates who are Australian citizens can also apply for The Australian Government's FEE-HELP Scheme. This scheme entitles eligible applicants to borrow up to $85,062 to cover the tuition component of the fees. Further information on Fee-Help is available on the Australian Government's website: http://www.goingtouni.gov.au/.
