Fees are paid per subject, per term in advance and students are notified of payment deadlines at the beginning of each calendar year. Our program fees are inclusive of the University of Melbourne amenities and services fee and our course materials. Our comprehensive course materials include all cases, readings, exercises and research materials.
The subject fee and total course fee are applicable to 2009. These fees are subject to annual review and may be adjusted to take into account cost increases. The School guarantees that the fee will not increase by more than 10% from year to year.
Company sponsorship
A significant number of our part-time students are company sponsored. Melbourne Business School is happy to talk to employers about the benefits of part-time study and to facilitate the company sponsorship process. We can also provide prospective students with an example of a business case to present to their employer outlining the benefits of supporting an employee through a postgraduate degree program.
FEE-HELP
FEE-HELP is an Australian government loan scheme designed to assist Australian citizens undertaking tertiary degrees, including Melbourne Business School programs. If eligible, you are able to borrow the total program fee and repayments are deducted from your taxable income. Voluntary lump sum repayments are also permitted, and may make you eligible for a 10 per cent bonus off the repayments. Before deciding on a financing method, students are advised to consult an independent financial advisor.
Further information on FEEHELP is available on the Government website http://www.goingtouni.gov.au/
Please note: FEE-HELP is only available to Australian citizens. Permanent residents of Australia are not eligible to participate in this scheme.
Self-financing
Part-time students who pay their own fees are often able to deduct the cost of tuition from their taxes as a self-study expense, provided the degree is relevant to their employment. You should check whether this is possible in your situation, as this deduction makes part-time study particularly attractive.
