Net Impact at MBS
MBS home to Australia's first Net Impact chapter. Net Impact Melbourne (NIM) was established in 2002 and is part of an international network of more than 280 student and professional chapters worldwide. NIM is currently the only active Net Impact chapter in Australia, and in 2010 it was awarded Silver status, making it amongst the top chapters in the world. The aim of NIM is to increase the current and future impact of MBS students through careers, action, and education.
Each spring NIM presents an annual conference, organised and run by MBS students and held on campus, which addresses current trends and issues related to creating positive net social, environmental, and economic impacts in business.
The 2011 Australian Net Impact Conference was a resounding success, click here to read more.
NIM deals with wide ranging issues such as corporate social responsibility, socially responsible financing, business sustainability, public private partnerships, business ethics, environmental operations management, corporate risk management and communicates through the annual sustainability conference, presentations from industry professionals, discussion forums, movie nights and networking events.
