2010 Annual Alumni Dinner

 

 

 

The Annual Alumni Dinner is Melbourne Business School’s (MBS) flagship event for its global community. It is a highlight of the School’s social calendar and regularly attracts over 600 leaders of business, government and community sectors who travel from across Australia, and beyond. For decades the dinner has brought together alumni, friends and guests of the School.

2010 Annual Alumni Dinner

In 2010, Australia and New Zealand Banking Group Limited (ANZ) became an annual premier dinner sponsor of MBS's signature event to honour Charles Goode AC who retired, in February, after 15 years as the Chairman of ANZ through the Charles Goode OrationClick here for the full story.

The inaugural Charles Goode Oration was delivered by Jillian Broadbent AO, Board Member, Reserve Bank of Australia; Director, Coca-Cola Amatil Limited, Special Broadcasting Service Corporation, ASX Limited; and Chancellor, University of Wollongong at the MBS Annual Alumni Dinner.  This year's black tie event was held on Monday 4 October at the Melbourne Convention Centre.

At the Dinner, through the presentation of two awards -  The Distinguished Alumnus Award and The Outstanding Recent Alumnus Award, MBS alumni recognise and celebrate fellow graduates who have demonstrated excellence in their field and made significant contributions to their community and to the School. 

This year's award winners were:

  • 2010 Outstanding Recent Alumnus Award - Nerida Caesar (EMBA 2003), Group Managing Director, Telstra Enterprise and Government, Telstra Corporation Ltd
  • 2010 Distinguished Alumnus Award - Katie Lahey (EMBA 1988), Chief Executive, Business Council of Australia
