Making a bequest at MBS
By making a bequest to Melbourne Business School in your will, you and your family leave an enduring legacy for future generations of leaders. Bequests are transformational gifts for the School. They help to support the student experience through scholarships and internships, and catalyse cutting-edge, world-class research. These combine to create value chains beyond MBS into communities across the world. Including MBS in your will is your investment in a sustainable future.
A bequest to the School can either be ‘untied’ enabling MBS to allocate the gift to a priority area of its choice or ‘tied’ whereby you nominate a specific purpose for the gift. The MBS Advancement team is happy to discuss the areas you would like to support and the outcomes you want to achieve through your bequest. However, to ensure that your Will fulfills your intentions, it is recommended that you first consult a solicitor (who is expert in bequests to not-for-profit/charitable organisations) on the wording for the bequest to ensure it fully expresses your wishes, and if required, a financial advisor.
Your generosity will ensure that Melbourne Business School continue to change lives and act as a force for educational and societal good, helping to ensure that what you have valued during your lifetime will continue to grow.
We understand that making your Will is a very personal matter, but if you have already included Melbourne Business School in your Will, or are considering doing so, it is a great help if you let us know. Not only would we like to thank you personally, but it also provides the opportunity for you to discuss your wishes with us.
If you would like further information on making a bequest, then please contact Michael Thornton, Director Advancement (Phone +61 3 9349 8282) who will be happy to assist you in confidence and without obligation.
